The membrane is the heart of any reverse osmosis system. It is a very fine layer that lets water through and holds back most of what is dissolved in it. Everything else in the system is there to support it.
If you have children, this is the part doing the real work. It fills their bottles for school. It goes into the pasta pot and the kettle. When the membrane is healthy, you never think about it. When it tires, the change is slow and quiet. That is why a system that looks after its membrane is worth so much.
How Long Does Our RO Membrane Last?

The exact time depends on your home. The EPA Drinking Water Quality in Public Supplies 2025 report notes that about 80% of Irish drinking water is taken from rivers and lakes. This kind of water can carry more plant matter and fine silt.

What Makes the ArkkZ So Good?
